This converter translates a salary between annual, monthly, bi-weekly, and hourlyfigures. Enter what you actually get paid and pick the unit — the tool normalizes everything to an annual total and derives the rest, so you can compare job offers that quote pay differently.
Every result starts from the annual total. A year is assumed to have 12 months, 26 bi-weekly pay periods, and 52 paid weeks. Given an annual amount A:monthly = A ÷ 12, bi-weekly = A ÷ 26, and hourly = A ÷ (52 × hours/week). The default work week is 40 hours (2,080 hours/year); adjust it for part-time or contract roles.
Bi-weekly pay (every two weeks) gives 26checks a year — which means two months you get three checks instead of two. Semi-monthly pay (twice a month) gives exactly 24 checks. Over a year, a $60,000 salary is $2,308 per bi-weekly check but $2,500 per semi-monthly check. This tool uses the standard bi-weekly (26-period) convention.

Common uses: people reach for this tool when they need to look up a salary to hourly calculator with overtime, annual salary to hourly converter, salary breakdown by pay period, or convert yearly salary to hourly rate.
Browser-based tools like this one have a few real advantages over installed software or manual methods:
The Salary Converter is based on the following formula:
Annual = hourly × 2080 Monthly = annual / 12
Variables: Annual = Gross annual salary ($) hourly = Hourly wage ($/hour) 2080 = Working hours per year (40 hours/week × 52 weeks) Monthly = Gross monthly salary ($)
Converts between hourly, weekly, monthly, and annual pay. Assumes 2,080 working hours per year (40 h × 52 w); adjust the hours for a different schedule.
Worked example: Step 1: hourly = $25.00. Step 2: Annual = 25 × 2080 = $52,000. Step 3: Monthly = 52,000 / 12 ≈ $4,333.33. Step 4: Cross-check: weekly = 25 × 40 = $1,000, biweekly = $2,000. Result: $25/hour is about $52,000 per year or $4,333.33 per month before taxes and deductions.
