Convert between L/min, GPM, CFM and more flow units.
🚰 Pipe and pump flow rates. Used in plumbing, HVAC, and irrigation.
Flow rate measures how much fluid passes through a point per unit time. This tool converts between liters/second, liters/minute, cubic meters/hour, gallons/minute, and cubic feet/minute.
The Flow Rate Converter converts flow rate converterfrom one unit to another using the exact internationally defined conversion factors. Type a value, choose your source and target units, and the converted result is shown instantly — no waiting, no page reload.
Manual conversion is error-prone because it means memorizing ratios (how many feet in a meter, how many pints in a liter). This tool removes that friction: the conversion factor is built in, and the math is done to full precision with no rounding until the final displayed number.
Common uses: people reach for this tool when they need to look up a lpm to gpm converter, gallons per minute to liters, cfm to cubic meters per hour, or flow rate for plumbing hvac.
Browser-based tools like this one have a few real advantages over installed software or manual methods:
The Flow Rate Converter is based on the following formula:
Q = V ÷ t 1 L/s = 60 L/min = 3.6 m³/h 1 GPM (US) = 3.78541 L/min 1 CFM = 28.3168 L/min ≈ 1.699 m³/h
Variables: Q = flow rate V = volume delivered t = time taken L/s = liters per second L/min = liters per minute m³/h = cubic meters per hour GPM = US gallons per minute CFM = cubic feet per minute
Flow rate is volume divided by time. Because 1 US gallon = 3.78541 L, 1 GPM = 3.78541 L/min; and since an hour has 3600 seconds, 1 L/s = 3600 L/h = 3.6 m³/h.
Worked example: A pump delivers 12 L/min: L/s = 12 ÷ 60 = 0.2 L/s m³/h = 0.2 × 3.6 = 0.72 m³/h GPM = 12 ÷ 3.78541 ≈ 3.17 GPM
